Accessibility at BloomForward

Last updated: April 22, 2026

Career guidance should be accessible to everyone, regardless of ability. We're building BloomForward to be usable by all people, and accessibility is an ongoing part of how we design and build.

Our standard

We're actively working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines help ensure that digital content is accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.

What we're doing

Semantic HTML

We use proper headings, landmarks, buttons, and form labels to support screen readers and assistive technology.

Color contrast

Our primary brand colors meet WCAG AA contrast requirements. We continue to audit and improve secondary text contrast across the platform.

Keyboard navigation

Interactive elements are accessible via keyboard, so people who don't use a mouse can navigate the full experience.

Alt text and labels

Images include descriptive alt text, and interactive elements are labeled for screen readers.

Responsive design

BloomForward works across screen sizes and devices, supporting users who zoom or use mobile assistive tools.

Known limitations

We're a small team and our platform is evolving quickly. Some areas may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We're aware of this and actively working to close the gaps. If you encounter a specific barrier, we want to hear about it so we can prioritize it.

Standards we reference

Our accessibility work is guided by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). We target Level AA conformance, which covers the majority of accessibility requirements for web content.
