BloomForward (“we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our website and services (the “Service”).

Account information (name, email address, password); career test responses and preferences; location data (city/state, provided during the assessment for salary personalization); billing information (processed and stored by Stripe, we do not store payment card details); and any messages you send through Career Coach or customer support.

Device and browser information; IP address; pages visited and features used; cookies and similar technologies for session management and analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: generate your Career DNA profile and career matches; personalize your Career Coach responses; provide salary and job market data relevant to your location; process payments and manage subscriptions; improve our algorithms and product experience; communicate with you about your account and the Service; and comply with legal obligations.

3. AI and Career Coach

Career Coach and certain other features use artificial intelligence to generate responses. When you send a message to Career Coach, your message and relevant profile context may be processed by third-party AI vendors (such as OpenAI or Anthropic) to generate a response. Our agreements with these vendors prohibit them from using your data for their own purposes.

We may use anonymized or aggregated conversation data to improve the Service, refine our algorithms, and train our models. We do not sell your conversations or personal information.

Please do not share sensitive personal information (such as financial account numbers, government IDs, or health information) in Career Coach messages.

We retain your account data and career test results for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (for example, billing records or fraud prevention). We may retain anonymized or aggregated data indefinitely.

We use industry-standard security measures including: encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL); encrypted data storage; secure authentication with email verification; and Stripe PCI-compliant payment processing. No system is 100% secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the rights listed in Section 8.

We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

The Service may contain links to third-party sites, such as when you share your Career DNA results on LinkedIn or X. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. When you click through, their privacy policies apply, not ours.

12. Children's Privacy

BloomForward is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 16, we will delete it promptly. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service at least 30 days before they take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
